Sci-Fi Girl

So, before my internship and my other class for the summer starts, I figured I would push myself a bit and try to get one last personal project done before i can not do any for three months. I just have these two sketches. I plan to have her sitting on a downed aircraft with mountains and a nice morning sky in the background. I also want to do the background along with the aircraft she is sitting on in Photoshop. However, I want to go over her and her helmet in Illustrator to make both illustrations be more high contrasted and stand out the most. I only got a few days! So we'll see what happens!

Self Portrait

Starting to get the hang of things. I haven't done a self portrait in such a long time. You realize things about yourself. It's kind of cool.

Few Things...

I drew this lady last night while being slightly sick and watching Dexters Laboratory and Powerpuff Girls. I realized while watching those shows not only how funny they actually are, but how much respect I have for Chris Battle. Afterall, he is the reason why I started to simplify my drawings and got into drawing cartoons.

I did this a little while back and will probably do more with it when I can...
Random sketch warm ups...

Drunk Dwarves

I have been meaning to draw these two for awhile. Once I was at a bar with friends. I saw two short, drunk hairy friends and an idea sparked right away. Since I live close to the bars, I was able to walk home right away, write the idea down and head back. Now I finally got to it. I love to get inspiration that way!

Dan Finished

random random random...

OLDIE! I did this awhile back for some musician friends. Glad they enjoyed it's random and oddness.

I recently went to go see The Black Angels. Great band live, so I snapped this little picture of the venues disco ball.

This is a portrait I started of my friend Dan. I'll definitely  keep working on it and see where it takes me!

Sketchbook

So I had a few days off and decided to make a simple and effective sketchbook for my lighting sketches. I used some thick cardboard from the back of a large sketchpad and a neon grey shoe lace from my running shoes. Then got some nice texture paper and some tan and grey paper. Two shades of tan and grey (light and dark). Four pages of each. Four sets (32 pages). Time to have some fun! It's a shame but, the picture does no justice what so ever...

Valorie Curry

So I am a fan of Valorie Curry. Mainly because of The Following. I drew her as a superhero . Why not?
